can you name another boxer whose stock went up that much in just over 2 years?
Nothing in the rule books says having a hard fight with a great boxer like JMM means you cant be the best boxer who ever lived.

DLH, Hatton, Cotto, and Clottey were expected to be competitive fights with Pac according to most experts. In retrospect they werent as competive as expected to put it mildly.
So you cant say they are formiddable opponents for Pac, but when Pac rips up the rule book and beats them easier than anticipated you then dont give Pac what he is owed!!!
What is Pac owed? CREDIT is what he is owed.

I think some of his accomplishments are over rated but as a whole he isnt.
Am more of a Mayweather fan than Pacquiao fan and i agree with your statement 100%, Pac is one of the greatest fighter of our era, like you said some of his accomplishment might be overrated by the media but this guy has proven himself over and over again...You got to be insane to think Pac is overrated...our era etc.... I might accept overhype but even then his performances/fights except for the clottey fight alway live up to the hype beforehand.

If anybody is overrated, its the person who self proclaims himself as the greatest fighter of all time with his best win on his resume diego corrales, jose luis castillo, & a 38 year old shane mosley who almost KHTFO.

Didn't floyd win multiple fighter of the year awards?
Voters are human and not only make mistakes they are bias as well. Shaq should have gotten more than 3 MVPs. Writers talk about how Jordan should have gotten MVP almost every year but some wouldnt vote on him just to spread the vote around, he was that dominant.

IMO, The only other people that could have won FOD was floyd or Bhop. I think manny earned this award because he fought and won tough fights and didn't retire during the decade.

I think RJJ has ackowledged he thinks Pac is the better fighter. RJJ has Pac like attributes, but i think Pac is tecnically more sound than RJJ.

Yes Pac has a greater resume as well. People always wondered why RJJ didnt fight Nigel Benn, Eubank and Joe Calzaghe.
What is a great win for RJJ Is James Toney, but James Toney was weight drained. He fought BH at the right time as well IMO.

I think the Oscar, Cotto, Morales fights 2 and 3 and the Hatton fights are blown out of proportion. He gets more credit for Hatton and Oscar when Floyd beat them first go figure.
