Come on guys, Shane Mosley is good and all (great even in his prime) but he fought an utter **** fight vs Floyd.

Hatton and even Judah did a much better job than Shane besides the big punch. Don't let Floyd's last 2 fights fool you, 1 was a farce of a fight against a midget blown up and slow and the other was a nice style match up for him, look at the trouble Ricky gave him with his footspeed and Ricky is a far more limited fighter than Pacquiao. Pacquiao's footspeed surpasses Hatton's and he can also use it to back pedal unlike Hatton who is just a face first slugger.

Look at the guys who gave Mayweather trouble, Oscar - big, strong, good jab. Hatton - Strong, good footspeed, Judah - Good handspeed and reflexes now look at Pacquiao, doesn't have the jab of Oscar but is kind of a frankenstein moster of all things Floyd hates. Cotto would have given Floyd a much, much harder time than Mosley.

The fact is that Mosley did not land another clean shot in the entire fight and lost the second half of the second round. So, saying he was "1 more clean shot from being KTFO" is the equivalent of saying that a major league baseball team was one run away from winning the World Series or a basketball team was one missed shot away from winning the championship. It doesn't mean a damn thing.

You said Manny would change gears and knock him out when he hurts him? Would that be a different gear than he switched to when knocked Marquez down three times in the first round of their first fight or a different gear than the one he switched to when he knocked Cotto down twice in their fight?

This is another useless thread from another hater who doesn't have a ****ing clue what he is talking about.
Manny ran out of time in both knockdowns, do your homework.

The bell saved both Marquez and Cotto from KO losses.

None of those fights(Oscar, Zab, Hatton) were close. I agree, Manny has good speed(hands/feet) and power, but has bad balance and bad defense. Does Manny have a chance? Sure, but not a good one.

The problem is Manny has never faced an opponent of Floyd's caliber. Freddie knows it, Bob knows it, Wapakman, and Team Pacquiao knows it.

The other problem is all opponents who step in the ring against Floyd start off good and fizzle out when they run out of options.

So you tell me... what will Manny do when Floyd takes some of his shots but starts to miss all the others, and Freddie is at a loss for words, Buboy's got a 1 lb. bag of ice on his head, and Ariza is begging Freddie to let him spyke Manny's water just this one time?

a 38 yr old Shane was FLoyd toughest opponent? so a 36 yr old better version of Shane was Cotto's best win. im just sayin'.

i believe when you win fighter of the year 3 times and fighter of the decade you are better than Mosley or anyone in that decade. you cant win those by just a luck or by being fast. you win those because you're damn good and doing things that many boxers couldnt do.

name me a boxer who would lose 2 to 3 rounds combined while destroying his opponents the way he did against Diaz, Oscar, Hatton,Cotto and Clottey. I know Floyd didnt destroy Oscar so he is out. Mosley lost to Cotto so he is out. who else?
