The sad truth is that Mayweather has claimed he has been a victim of racism in the past, even going as far as calling a fellow african american and renowned boxing figure an Uncle Tom. Mayweather is a hypocrite and is a victim of his own ignorance and ******ity and should rightfully be crucified for his comments due to the fact that he is a world class athlete and a mainstream public figure. What kind of message is he sending to young athletes that look up to him?? Certainly not a good one.

I can't believe some of you still defend Mayweather and act like what he did was petty. Don't forget his deadbeat father has also said some racist comments in the media against Pacquiao and Filipinos.

And if Pacquiao said something about Mayweather's race, then not only Mayweather fans, but the casueal/neutral fans would have crucified Pacquiao.

Mayweather is getting a pass but it doesn't matter if Floyd makes more money than Pacquiao, he will always be jealous of the attention Pacquiao is getting.

Problem is Floyd don't answer to anybody. He only gets sponsors during fight time(and I doubt reebok pass up on the biggest fight ever against there rival which is Nike)

And don't be fooled don onus lost his job and got another 1 making more money.

Are you telling me that there is absolutely now way for ANYONE to censor or castigate errant boxers? And where is Jesse Jackson and REV. Al Sharpton in all of this? Aren't they supposedly champions against racism?

Don Imus got another job because he applied for a job in another company and apparently worked things out with Jesse Jackson by inviting him in one of his shows. He messed up, PAID FOR IT, and moved on.

Floyd messed up, HIS FANS CONSTANTLY DEFEND HIM as you are doing, and he moved on.

In short, while others paid a heavy price for their mistakes, and Floyd got a free pass.

Its not unfair to colored people to point it out. What IS unfair would be for others to use it as an excuse TO BE RACIST.

Of course, its not necessary to point it out all the time, but denying its existence would also be wrong.

when floyd says something about dogs, there is a hinge of truth about it for some filipinos. and he must be careful about that because not all pinoys do that.

when ESPN say that blacks like floyd has a pass, there is truth about it for some blacks. but not all blacks say cheap things. and espn must be careful about that because lots of blacks are even trying to change this perception about them.

and when you say about you cant deny the existence of the truth. that this truth is already in the system, that is stereotyping.

Its all free pass for now. ESPN will be ripping a new hole on top of what he had been drilled for before. ESPN has been good on that to people that deserves to get teared a new one. I think they study these things,, so they won't get sued . This issue will be coming back in our attention in the future, guaranteed.
