Americans looking out for their own? Even if this is the case all the belts will be up for grabs in the finals so no huge deal.

The winner of the Super Six will have the WBC and WBA belts. A worthy prize!

I don't think it's that shocking, TBH. The winner of the S6 will be the unified champ anyway.

Maybe the WBC figured that since Dirrell was the #1 contender all along and Froch and Abraham lost their last WBC sanctioned fights, it was better to sanction Ward-Dirrell.

both Abraham and Froch are coming off of loses so yes Approving Ward vs Dirrell over Froch vs Abraham actually make A LOT of sense, the CORRUPT WBC finally did something right for once and I think they are also trying to force the issue between Dirrell and Ward to make sure that fight happens

I picked Abraham or Ward to win this Tournament before it started and I still think they are #1 and #2 and should be in the finals...BUT Dirrell and Froch are more then capable or RUINING that especially Dirrell he has the speed and footwork and skills to keep Ward off of him for 12 Rounds

this fight has to get done now!!! don't ****in matter when they do it...as long as it gets down and I think it will

                    I agree.

                    Something is wrong here.

Why can't Kessler keep the WBC belt until next year, since he just won it a couple of months ago? Guillermo Jones was allowed to keep his cruiserweight title for TWO YEARS without defending it.

Why would the WBC care about the WBA??

They see Ward (Arguably the best fighter of the division and Dirrell the guy that beat Abraham and lost a controversial decision to Froch) and thats it, they are giving their belt to the best man of the division... Right move on my opinion.
