There's no excuse for the Williams-Martinez rematch not being finalized by now.

I know Williams has a right to campaign in any fuckin division he wants to and that's his perogative. But the fact he was talking about that long before this fight got rolling at the negotiating table proves he doesn't want none. Martinez was ready to fight Angulo who's a big power punching pressure fighter who's capable of fighting at Middleweight. And your boy wanted to go to 147 where the water has turned shallow where the talent pool is concerned. So in other words it's Martinez who is doing Williams' heavy lifting.Last edited by Iceta Lives; 09-06-2010, 08:11 PM.Comment

You jumped on Martinez saying he was ducking Paul before they even started negotiating.Comment

[QUOTE=No Ceilings;9184041]Out of Pauls mouth. The fight is held up because of the venue.
NO ONE has signed anything. That INCLUDES Martinez.
These guys are not draws at all so HBO is looking for a venue or a card where it makes sense and money.[/QUOThav
true i havent heard anything about a venue. but they should put it on the judah mathysse card where ever that fight is being held at. or the marquez katsidis triple header and taking out berto's assComment

damn at least wait and see if the fight is official off first before complaining, I haven't see any reports about the fight being official off or that Martinez or Williams are negotiation fights with other fighters
have to at least wait and see what happens, Negotiations can be a long and hard process, fans just make up **** and start pointing fingers at one fight with out even knowing WTF is really going on during negotiationsLast edited by sicko; 09-06-2010, 08:47 PM.Comment

Words from Williams' camp and his own mouth. "I get more than 50-50 or no fight". "I want to go back down to 147." Anybody remember the poster Earner who has got connections to the inside of these negotiations? Yeah, that's who and he admits Williams is ducking this fight. I'll take his word over Burner's in a heart beat.Comment

Williams' fans are of course say Martinez is ducking the fight.....we know who he is...Ceilings...just kidding man. Really though.....Martinez is not known for ducking anyone and he is a stellar guy..Paul is a commodity and one that HBO wants to sell, Paul is a little scared I think because Martinez gave him the fight of his life and Cintron made him look weak in their fight as long as it lasted; he will avoid this fight as much as he can, his career depends on it!Comment

He Say She Say that is not a good enough source
Until it is officially reported by one of these Major Boxing Sites, I don't believe that BULL****, usually when negotiations go silent that means negotiations are still on going, I am sure both fighters want to fight again this year so if the fight was off we would have heard rumors of them trying to setup fights with other fighters besides the Angulo vs Martinez and since Angulo rejected that offer all reports have been that Williams and Martinez are being negotiated again
and the last report I seen on this fight was that they was VERY CLOSE, I think that was from Lem Satterfield sometime last monthLast edited by sicko; 09-06-2010, 09:08 PM.Comment
