I just caught this old news on Zack Padilla's boxrec page:

Zack Padilla beat four world champions, and once held the Compubox record with Ray Oliveira for the most punches thrown in a fight. Padilla was the reigning WBO junior welterweight champion until Shane Mosley hit him hard while sparring, which caused a brain injury that prompted Padilla's boxing license to be suspended indefinitely.

I've heard the same from different people who have trained with Shane. People get caught up the steroids allegations/admission, but the reality is that Shane has always been that way. If you follow his life and different people who have crossed his path in the gym...they all say the same thing. One of the biggest factors is that Shane was a power-lifter in highschool and he is one of the few boxers that trains hard with weights during his training sessions. Some trainers are very anti-weight training but Shane's father is noted for Shane's power boxing style. The idea is to make every punch count.

I've never actually seen him fight, but read that him and Olivera had held a Compubox record of some sort. This and other examples make me believe Mosley would do very well against every face first brawler under 147. It's the reason I pick him in the fantasy fights against JCC Sr.

Yeah, Shane doesn't have a potent Jab. It seems he flicks his jab to blind, and set up those looping rights.

Yes he is! Funny how there is still this misconception among the casual boxing public that Shane is some kind of phenomenal great BOXER. Shane is a Slugger with good speed. He doesn't match up well with a boxer like Floyd defensively. Mora has a great chance to win a UD.
