tito would lose 9 out of 10 fights with hopkins. hopkins style has more answers to tito's style than tito's style has for hopkins'.

hopkins would own tito any and every time they fought. hopkins is too smart for anything tito had to bring to the ring.

i'm a fan of both, hopkins is my favorite fighter, but tito against hopkins is just limited and there is no other way around it.

I agree. I think some guys just have your number. Hopkins had the perfect style to beat Trinidad. He was bigger, stronger, smarter, had a better jab and just as much desire and hunger. People say Tito had limited boxing skill and that's proberbly true but I think one thing that always brought him through was his heart and determination. Before Hopkins, I think he was knocked down about 6 times early in fights and always came back to win by knockout. You could see how pround he was to be Puerto Rican.

I don't like Hopkins as a fighter but I respect him more everytime I see him fight. In the Trinidad fight he was just not going to lose. In the 10th round Trinidad unloaded everything in a desperate attempt to hurt Bernard but he just didnt let him get to him and came back with his own punches. You could see the determination in his eyes. Bernard was carrying all of his past dissapointments and difficulties into the ring with him and taking it all out on Trinidad. He just wasn't going to be denied.

It was an amazing performence.

Well no **** that gash was opened up in sparring, They did stop the fight so how is that not a legit excuse? That old man was getting his ass whooped but they stopped the fight due TO A GASH THAT WAS READY TO BE OPENED.

The gash was open at the fight. It is still an excuse. Also he denied that De La Hoya beat him.

quality assessment................. from both sides, i've always loved trinidad, but when i first saw trinidad, i was already a hopkins diehard, and the first time i remember seeing trinidad was when he almost decapitated yori boy campos on the chavez taylor rematch card........ trinidad was always an action fighter who gave fans their monies worth and i love and respect him for that, he has always been a class act and shown nothing but heart.

hopkins is/was always trinidads nemesis........... good comment.
