Boxing's Called "The Sweet Science" For A Reason

Boxing fans can be very, very ****** and simple.

I see some clowns on here saying Martinez "gassed early, he has no stamina...".

How about you ****s start giving their opponents more credit... instead of just saying, "he got old"... or so & so "has no stamina". You should actually know what you're talking about and look at what the opponent has done to make the fighter gas.

How about giving credit for bodywork? Have any of you ****s taken body shots in your lives?

You can train however many months and do whatever amount of sit-ups you want/can, but the shots will still take something out of you regardless. The work you do in the gym lessens the effect it would have done on you if you hadn't, but it does not negate it.

In few cases at the top level (top 20 fighter in a division) can sub-par stamina be blamed on under-training and extracurricular activities, but for the most part these men work their asses off in training camp to get in peak physical condition, no excuses.

This is The Sweet Science, not The Sweet Simpleness. But this is a simple aspect of it that people can't seem to get through their ignorant, rock hard heads.

That is why Martinez-Burns is not FOTY. Segura-Calderon is.

The fact that Rocky was loading up on everything he threw didn't help either. He wanted to take his head off for the whole fight.

You clearly do not understand message board logic.

On message boards, losing = you ****** all along, you're a bum, you need a new trainer, you have no heart, etc.

I'm not sure, I missed the first few rounds because I was watching the garbage Sturm fight. Anyway, I was saying this last week, Calderon didn't get old overnight.

If Segura wouldn't have been consistently going to the body as much as he was, would Calderon have been standing and trading in the 4th?

No... That's not Calderon's game, after 3 digit amateur fights and over 30 pro fights, you think he's going to stand and trade because he wants to?

**** no... he was forced to stand and trade because the body shots were taking away his legs. And when he did, Segura was able to really dig the body shots, which led to the eventual stoppage. Without that, Segura head hunts and never catches Calderon en route to another UD in favor of Calderon.

I made this thread because of last week's fight and this week I see people saying "Martinez has no stamina", when that's complete bull****. Burns was landing good left hooks to the body in his combinations.

**** these non body punch comprehending cunts, those hurt much much more than head shots and you can't just shake them off after a couple seconds.

                but where have you been?

On here anyone who lost 1 fight was a hypejob

Just look at Jacobs, he lost 1 fight now I guess he will never make anything of himself in the sport according to most of the forum.

That also helped, but I'm trying to take them 1 step at a time.

I want to change that, hopefully informing them on what's really going on, but it is what it is until then.

Exactly!!!! This is my biggest thing with the Cotto vs Margs fight. People seemed to of only count pretty head shots.
