    Reason is simple:

HBO doesn't want to air European fighters, or nonAmerican fighter for that matter, and thus are losing out on a plethora of intriguing fights.

The simple fact is boxing has left USA.

So it makes sense that HBO, with its proAmerican bias (and justifiably so, afterall its HQ'd in USA, so its natural they prefer to show American fighter) is showing sub par fights.

The best fights, these days, are happening outside of USA.

Thats why HBO is missing them.

I just didnt figure I would even get the chance to watch either, because I go to fight news and generally just quickly check under 'TV fights' and leave it at that, because I dont expect to see it any other way.

Just ask us. A lot of us get all the streams before the fights start so a lot of guys on here are well-armed with streams.

Don't go without next time. Just ask.

this is true. but theres a reason why Showtime has been able to provide almost just as many exciting high level fights as HBO, despite their much lower budget...and title fights should be televised!

Im liking what ESPN has been doing lately with their ESPN 360 thing, man I would love if I could catch good fights on that. Its great quality and convenient.

now thats baloney, these are the type of fights that should be AT LEAST on the undercard of big fights, but the fact that they werent even televised is totally bull****.

Why cant these big time TV networks like HBO or Showtime or ESPN or ANYONE simply air these beautiful displays of boxing?

because they are not american period. hell, they barely cover floyd & pac in mainstream sports media, how much jan zaveck & some dude named jackieweicz.

Boxing is pretty low in american sports totem pole

          1.nfl
          2.college football
          3.nba
          4.mlb
          5.colleg basketball
          6.golf
          7.nascar

i dont even know where boxing is. The klistskcho brothers dominance has a lot to do with it. i respect them, but they are just atrocious to watch. doesnt help that the best american fighter is also atrocious to watch. america is all about action & entertainment. its just that boxing fails to deliver far too often.

              Sad, but true.
well NOW it is because of Tiger Woods but the Golf Channel was started BEFORE Tiger Woods came along and when Golf wasn't as popular

the biggest problem though is that Boxing is basically a bunch of Independent Contractors, if Boxing was under one Governing Body and networks could do deals with ONE Governing Body and not separate Promotions, then we would see not only more coverage of boxing from Multiple Networks but it would also be much cheaper to do things like start a Network, you start a Network now, you would have to pay a ton of Money to get every Major Promotion on board

boxing isnt ready for a seperate network for themselves...we dont have the organization, money or big enough fanbase for it at the moment.

We should just focus on one thing at a time...getting these underappreciated fights televised legally on either live TV or the internet is #1.

I wouldnt mind at all if HBO or Showtime showed tape-delayed fights like these on their undercards. Surely it cant cost that much more for them if its not even live.
Everyone can appreciate exciting, high skill fights, even if you dont know who the fighters are.

I am so glad I ditched out on the robotic Sturm fight and tuned into Burns-Martinez instead.

That was a fight of the year type fight and a huge upset.

That dumb robot Sturm couldn't fight like those two if his life depended on it.
