Its not close and thats the point. Kobe was BELOVED in LA before the **** case. Kobe's wife forgave him and is still with him, and America Followed suit.

Sure, if KOBE kept winning LA would have loved him again no matter what, but what about the rest of America? If anything, winning would make you hate him Even MORE. But no, Kobe is as popular as ever...

Floyd Mayweather does not get on TV for anything other than boxing, or dancing or anything related to sports. Therefore, Mr. Mayweather only got a million dollars in 3 weeks, which is what he said also on USTREAM. NO athlete gets sponsorship/endorsements for sitting on their ass and ducking fighters. That is a terrible deal for the companies.

Not really. When Mayweather fights there are usually weeks of hype and the fights are watched by many millions of people all over the world.

And on top of that he has the 24/7 show.

do you honestly think a sponsor gave him 1 million for a 3-week sponsorship deal?

i could be wrong but most sponsors do yearly sponsorship deals with contracted athletes.

reebok did some sort of sponsorship deal with him but they don't give out only 3-week long promotional contracts.

they probably just sponsored a mayweather event for a few weeks.

i remember because they asked him what shoes he was wearing in an interview and he commented how "he didn't want to say because they sponsor "the other guy" meaning pacquiao.
