bottom line is, what floyd said illicits a different reaction from you compared to most ppl.

just like i wouldn't necessarily call you ridiculous for defending what he said.

that's how you felt and who are we to tell you how to feel.
Mayweather's a celebrity so he has to watch what he says. As a major news syndicate, the terms they use should not just be grammatically correct, but the validity as well.

Rafael did a five minute spot calling Mayweather a "racist." That's ridiculous, and now you've fed loads of crock to numerous viewers who may now generalize a specific race over a few senseless jokes.

I'd rather everyone just say they hate the guy instead of trying to come up with a reason to and dissect his thoughtless comments, that actually, didn't even sound deeply dwelt upon.

      • For some people, you give them right and they thought they are on top of the world. It only shows how the mayweather family raised their kids, they forgot where they come from...

rafael didn't feed viewers loads of crock.

by feeding you're implying that it's being digested.

some ppl thought it was simply thoughtless, some thought it was not such a big deal and others thought it was racist.

i don't think anything coming out of that fat prick's mouth or fingers is changing anyone's view on this matter.

but if he felt it was appropriate to describe it as such then he is one of those that's part of a certain faction that felt that way.

so as far as he's concerned, that's validity enough.

and espn showed it so they to a certain extent agreed with it.

validity is subjective and it all depends on the context.

So let's correlate Mayweather's "outlandish" and indirect accusation of Pacquiao being on steroids to major news outlets calling him racist.

When Mayweather demanded random testing, everyone ****ted on him for it stating that he was accusing Pacquiao of taking steroids when he was simply demanding random tests.

Now there's this issue when he never singled out a whole race of people, yet goofs like Rafael get the platform to sway viewers to think a certain way subjectively.

People will come up with any reason they find viable to hate Mayweather and its sad because most that post online use the African-American race to fuse their hatred (not stating you specifically by any means).

The lone time ESPN has painted Mayweather in a better light, is when Kenny, Atlas, and Flores sided with random testing on a FNF telecast.

It's one thing for 50 people to re-post the exact same video on youtube with the title reading "Floyd Mayweather racist n***er hating on Asian people" and along those lines.... but when a professional news syndicate encourages those notions, when they're false, it's not a good look, but more so a look of desperation.

Remember, ESPN didn't report that story until after sites like bleacher report, opposing views, youtube, examiner, etc... that have numerous non-credible writers that post terrible articles, already had them posted for hours.

the bold part sums up our disagreement here.

you say it's false, espn feels it's not.

they, along with a number of other sources also disagree with you.

and what's ironic is, we both believe the same thing that what floyd did was thoughtless and classless but no way should it be described as outright racist.

                    but that's beside the point.

we believe one thing, the others another.

that's the nature of being an individual.

and no matter how collective you think espn is as a pro news syndicate, it boils down to their "individual" take on what happened, manifested in that specific segment by raphael which we're arguing about.
