By Cliff Rold - The top of the Middleweight division is generally agreed upon for the moment. The kingpin, off his win over then-lineal World Champion Kelly Pavlik in April, is Sergio Martinez (45-2-2, 24 KO). Behind him by only a hair is the man who could call himself the uncrowned champion, Paul Williams (39-1, 27 KO), and have a case based on a thrilling, close win over Martinez last December. So Moreno would go to Japan to fight Hasegawa? Balls.
Good article. Felix is a non factor unitl he actually fights someone worth a damn. Sitting in Germany and pulling a Calzaghe does him no favors. -
Cotto v.s felix sturm next year in vegas make it happen since the other 2 guys will probably do martinez williams 3 cuz martinez is gonna waxx williams ass againComment

Now that hes no longer with Universum, he will propably come to america and fight one of the stars there. But he will likely fail. A Paul Williams would murder him and Martinez is also overall better than him. A fight against fading Pavlik would be nice but if Sturm beats him the americans will say: "Well, Pavlik was shot anyway. A prime Pavlik would knock Sturm out inside 4 rounds" And i have to say they would be right.Comment

Tend to agree that Sturm is irrelevant, like some of the other middleweight beltholders, until he steps up. Hopefully he will do so now that he's away from Universum. A good first step would be a fight with Golovkin, who holds the interim WBA belt. Golovkin was the mandatory challenger to Sturm before they made Sturm the Super Duper Champion. And unlike most of Sturm's opponents, he's a big puncher. Would be an interesting test for both fighters.Comment
