Some of the biggest names in the heavyweight division will be in action when Warriors Boxing Promotions in association with Cedric Kushner Promotions presents Heavyweight Heat - featuring a long awaited showdown between "Merciless" Ray Mercer (34-5-1, 25 KO's) vs. Shannon Briggs (42-4-1, 36 KO's), and the ring returns of top contenders David Tua (43-3-1, 38 KO's), and Jameel McCline (31-5-3,19 KO's) live on pay per view at the brand new Hard Rock Live Arena which is located at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The announcement was made jointly today by Warriors Boxing Promotions and Cedric Kushner.

I think this is the most exciting thing to happen in heavyweight division for awhile. Mercer, Briggs, and Tua are on the comeback trails and Mccline wants to prove that he's a top contender again. And for $30, that's not bad.

If these bouts were on ESPN there would be only one of these names headlining the bout. Also, I heard that cruiserweight Oneil Bell will be defending his title. IMO, all in all it's not a bad card(and excuse to get together with the boys), and much better a deal than any of Don Kings heavyweight ppvs.

The heavyweight card from last Novemeber....was as lousy as I expected it to be.

it will be interesting to see how david tua performs in his second fight since his two year lay off, but not very interesting apart from that. mercer should stay retired.
