According to Dan Antuna of Tijuana newspaper Frontera, Antonio Margarito confirmed his next bout for May 8th in Aguascalientes, MX. After his bid to fight on the March 13th fight card in Dallas, TX, was not solidfied, the “Tijuana Tornado” will still face Carson Jones at the yearly state fair held in that Mexican city.

“The fight in May is confirmed directly from Bob Arum of Top Rank. He also assured me a fight with Manny Pacquiao in November,” Margarito stated.

He also mentioned that he would not be appearing at a hearing to solicit his license from the California State Atlethic Commission.

You all call Floyd a ducker but what is he supposed to do when comments like this come out? He's already the cash cow of boxing, theres no reason for him to chase Pacquiao. He wants the fight but Manny prefers damaged opponents who are coming off KO losses. There's nothing Floyd can do about that.

Obviously there's an agenda.


Beginning of the year, he bashed Floyd for not taking the fight for the spring... now he's completely fine if it doesn't go down.

Obviously because he wants his two fighters to fight.

Bring Margarito back to the main stream, and cash in on both fighters again.

I hate that Arum gave PBF a way out when they had him in the corner, if you have PBF in the corner, don't let him off easy, and that's exactly what they did, they told him that the fight was available when ever he wanted it. ******!!!!
