You guys are still overrating how big of a star Margarito is in the US. Most Americans know nothing about this scandal.

        Im thinking 900k buys.

There's people who think this fight is a travesty, and there's people who think this fight is going to be an exciting battle between two supreme fighters.

Did he wrap his hands for Cotto?

Did he know his hands were wrapped?

Did he even have plaster in his gloves or even deserve that one year ban?

          Should he be banned forever?

          One thing is undeniable.

Everyone on this forum, anyone who watches boxing, other boxers and sports analysts themselves..... Everyone, has an opinion on Antonio Margarito.

Some of you want to see him fail miserably. You want Pacquiao to punish Margarito for the entire boxing community. Some of you want to see Margarito rise above everything against him and come out victorious. You want him to shove it everyone's face by beating Manny Pacquiao.

Whichever way you may feel.... You're all going to watch him fight.

One way or another, everyone has an opinion on how they would prefer this fight turns out.

And now... The most controversial fighter in the sport, is about to fight the most exciting fighter in the sport.

I'll watch, you'll watch..... and so will everyone else.
          good post

I think you're underrating how much coverage this fight is getting.

It was on ESPN this morning.

Everyone has an opinion on this fight...

It has 5x the coverage of the Clottey fight, and Clottey has 3 1/2 fans in the U.S.

Im still not getting that big fight vibe. Pac is a star no doubt. Margarito not so much. The last thing he did worth a damn was get knocked out by Mosley.

I also get the sense that most fans know thiswill be mismatch. The 24/7 is key.

If this fight does 1 Million or more I'll be shocked and that would be a good accomplishment for Marg and Pac.

Pac Clottey did 700k... 1 mill isn't shocking at all, specially taking into consideration the Mexican fanbase.

Also, people may remember the Mosley KO... but they also remember what Marg did to Cotto.. and it adds something to this fight..

They also know Margarito's style, this fight will produce fireworks and controversy.

It will do 1 Mill at the very least.

HBO would really have to ***** the bed to make a bad 24/7 out of this.

You got a congressmen versus a controversial guy, both guys warriors.

They can finally have some fresh new material for these shows.
