    Pacquiao's fighting style..

Do you think his style will cause him problems late in his life? Like speech problems and memory loss? I hope not.

We'll have to wait and see. Even Whitaker doesn't seem as sharp these days. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens to manny. He takes flush shots even when he's in control of the fight.

As far as I know, he hasn't shown any signs. It's crazy because he has been through so many wars, yet he is performing at the top against even larger opponents. He is only human though, he should call retirement in the next two years or so.

You'll never know. Some guys can get beat to hell for years and be perfectly fine. Other guys can have short careers and be like Ali.

It probably depends on a lot of things, like thickness of skull, etc.

Yeah, I agree. As much as I, and everyone else loves to see Pac fight, we rather see him retire and not have any health problems late in his life. He's given us some of the most exciting fights.

And to the other poster who mentioned Whitaker, I think he does drugs.

Hope not, he's a great boxer and a great human being

It'd be a shame to see him end up like Ali. I don't think he will though, wars at heavyweight are likely to be more harmful than those in the lower weight classes

would be really bad for the sport too, i imagine it would make a lot of parents uncomfortable if they had a talented kid who wanted to go into boxing, but they'd seen guys like ali and pacman in wheelchairs at ~60 barely able to speak

People go into boxing because they are broke and desperate. I doubt a family living in poverty is going to care much about how their son gets them out of the ******.

Like Marvin Hagler? He was in a lot of wars and ended up being fine.

Hagler started declining and you could see it against Mugabi. Somehow he remained hard as a rock and determined as ever.
