The majority of the Floyd fans had this random testing as a sticking point. Basically they said, if Manny agrees to Floyd's version of OST then they agree that it wasn't Manny that was holding up the fight. Now, that too wasn't enough as they still can't believe what they read. They are just too shocked!
So now it all makes sense:
- Negotiations did happen (proven by HBO exec)
- Floyd's side said random testing or nothing
- Manny and Roach agreed
- Floyd went on vacation
- Floyd was silent because what can he say? Floyd couldn't say, it's Manny's team's fault..... All that was left to say was ..... "Oh, Manny agreed to drug testing like I wanted but then I decided to go on vacation"
Maybe it's about the money but that would be somewhat lamer point than OST from a media perspective. Plus, Floyd put himself in a corner by saying there were no negotiations.
Still, the thing that is killing Floyd is this silence. Maybe Floyd just knew that he couldn't win the war of words once word was out that Manny agreed to Floyd's version of OST.Comment

If there were no negotiations who did Manny agree with? If Manny really did agree to unrestricted random testing why are they just coming out with it conveniently while promoting the Cheato fight? Wouldn't Manny or big ass mouth Freddie been come out and said they agreed to testing? This is total BS!!!!!Comment

hahahaha...I'm going to steal Roger's line: "YOU GUYS DON'T KNOW **** ABOUT BOXING" hahahaha...Floyd/Manny fight will happen in May 2011, that's a fact...cause this fight (Pacquiao/Margacheato) is fixed...do you think uncle Bob will risk the biggest payday of his life...lol... People, none of these 2 fighters are scare of the other...hahaha...so ****** when I read that...at the end of the day styles make fights and Floyd has the style to beat Pacquiao, PERIOD!!! Manny has 3 or 4 rounds to do some damage and thats IT!!! When the time comes if you are serious about putting money I'll be around...please I don't do that gay as **** of betting points...hahahaha...what kind of gay **** is that!!! My $$$ is on Floyd for this fight!!!

It came from Manny's camp that there were negotiations. Even some of the players stated so (GBP) then backpedaled. Yet Floyd fans didn't believe since this was said to be untrue from Floyd's side.
The thing that Floyd's fans said was they wanted proof from a non-biased person such as the HBO exec..... they thought he would never come out and say anything BUT he did.
There were previous rumors and statements that Manny/Roach and even Arum said they agreed BUT just like today, Floyd fans wanted the exact wording. That is, like today, they said, Manny didn't say "random" testing.

Well i see it 50-50 as far as who is being criticized by the media. Im just curious to know why didn't Pacquiao agree to 14 days in January and 8 months later 3 months after Mayweather made between 30-40million fighting Mosley he agreed to testing anytime, anyplace, anywhere. LMAO If that last part was true, (and i highly doubt it) why is this the 1st time we're hearing this.
All through these "so-called" negotiations Arum's tuned changed too often for me to believe that they were seriously going to fight Floyd in november. At first everything seemed to be going fine and dandy. Then day by day, i hear little hints in his vocabulary that gives me the impression that if discussions took place, I believe it was more about the parameters of a potential fight. Not necessarily a fight on Nov. 13th 2010.
Remember after everything was rolling along and they had there contracts signed and they sent them to team Mayweather. It wasn't until after it was obvious Mayweather's team was ignoring them, then you hear how they actually never spoke directly to anybody from Mayweather's team. How Arum seem to give mayweather the excuse on how his uncle's legal issue might be a problem and therefore Mayweather might wait to render a decision. Let's not forget that like always, (or at least when its a pac/mayweather negotiation) he always has a replacement lined up just incase mayweather does want to bow down to a guy that makes on average 15mil less than him.
This is about one thing only and its called LEVERAGE. Back in January, Mayweather was under criticism and a lot of scrutiny for his recent list of opponents before Mosley. So mayweather understood that he didn't have much leverage in January, that's why he agreed to everything they wanted back then. Now all of a sudden since Mayweather beat Mosley, Pacquiao or somebody from his camp can't stop mentioning Mayweather's name. Pacquiao looked at his measly paycheck and saw a fighter that (he feels) he's better than make 4 times as much as he did must've rubbed him the wrong way.
As long as Team pacquiao continue to pretend that there in the drivers seat then i don't see this fight ever getting done. They knew all along they were fighting Margarito in November, this bull**** of charades is just a cover up so fight fans won't do to Pacquiao what some have done to floyd, criticize him for fighting a guy that he shouldn't be. We much rather see cotto vs margarito 2, than pacquiao vs margarito. This is all about lining Pacquiao up with a guy thats custom made for his style, for him to beat up, look good doing so, and have the pac tards amped to say ****** **** like "well he beat margarito and mayweather didn't wanna fight neither one of them, blah blah blah. . The problem is is that now the list of Pacquiao's opponents are gonna run thin, if they dont step up his level of competition too. So once Arum milks pacquiao for fighting everybody in his stable in or around 145lb (Pac-weight) limit. Then he will feed Pacquiao to the wolves to get his ass handed to him.Comment
