they have pacquiao as a golden boy fighter on their website.

they have him down as a lightweight too.

Promoter Don King has advised BoxingScene.com that he plans to meet with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the coming days to continue their discussions about a possible working relationship. King's goal is to make the fight between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

"I spoke to him last night. He called to wish me a happy birthday. He was suppossed to be here on my birthday, but something came up with family. He'll be down here. I'll be talking to him again," King told BoxingScene.com. "I can generate more money for him than anyone else in the world. I can make the Pacquiao fight with Bob Arum in a blink of an eye."

Mayweather has worked with Golden Boy Promotions for his last four fights. Golden Boy's CEO Richard Schaefer is confident Mayweather will continue working with them in the future. King is not so sure.

"If he was happy then he wouldn't be coming here," King said. "They treat him like he's insignificant...like he means nothing."

              was jorge solis top rank?

              i don't remember.

if pacquiao is considered both a top rank and golden boy fighter:

              1. margarito
              2. clottey
              3. cotto
              4. hatton
              5. delahoya
              6. diaz
              7. marquez
              8. barrera
              9. solis
              10. morales

                silly talk.

top rank is one of the biggest promoters out there.

what's the big deal about their fighters fighting each other?

i wish every fighter was with the same company , easier to make fights.
I get what you are saying but constant in-house fights is not a good thing for boxing and it actually doesn't allow the promoter to properly do his job for a particular fighter.
A promoters job is to get his fighter the most money they can get and other advantages in negotiations such as ring size, gloves, etc. Well when you have 2 fighters under the same company the promoter is only going to do that for the fighter who makes the promoter the most money. Hence the promoter is no longer do the best job for the other fighter who makes him less money. That **** just ain't right!!!! That is bad for boxing.

because pacquiao is not very bright I guess. He signed a contract with gbp and top rank.

he's dumb for signing with golden boy 1st.

he's smart for signing with top rank afterward.

top rank had a better deal.

it worked out for him in the end.
