Being the lineal champ makes you the man of the divisoin. But, lineal champ does not mean the best fighter in the division. Even Judah did not want to fight Marg. He straightout refused when he was the lineal champ.

Judah when he lost to Baldomir he not the the 2 best WW. And, not Floyd and Judah did NOT have a sing contract beforehand.

"There was no reason to fight Tony" WTF? Are you serious?

    Just ridiculous statement.
but who knew who toney was??? in fact, who expressed interest in a toney fight at the time??

Floyd is a cancer to the sport and it can only improve once he leaves.

I knew who he was. Boxing fans knew who he was. A lot of guys make too much shit about the Brain Kenny interview. But, around the same time there were articles on the net about Floyd fighting Margarito.

The only who didn't know, who didn't show any interest in a Tony fight at that time were people who were not really following the WW division early decade.

Your response has nothing to do with my post. I was responding to a poster who stated that Floyd owes us fans nothing. I strongly disagree and stated why.

            Stay on topic here.

Stop making excuses for why Floyd shouldnt fight Pac, and instead demand that he just man the *** up and make the fight instead of putting up all these roadblocks from making it happen.

I know Manny is very suspect but the others he had no excuse to not fight when they were knocking on his door. Instead he fought, oscar who was shot, ricky hatton, and not to mention baldomir (club fighter)

If and when floyd retires which he will soon, I believe boxing will be better! You have fighters like bradley and the 140 who all want to fight the to prove they are champs. Also We will get a huge star from who ever wins the super six. Do any of you agree??
No boxing wont be better because floyd isn't doing something that hasn't been done before. Those fights didn't occur because of the business and politics of boxing, not because floyd didn't do this or that.

get rid of the politics we agree. Build a business where championships are properly earned and defended we agree.

That said, don't make it about an individual make it about the parameters that allow individuals to manipulate the sport. As has always been the case this business is about putting asses in the seats. Boxing is better when every fighter learns how do to that within their own framework.

Of course it won't be better.

He's the cash cow and everyone interested in boxing is interested in Floyd Mayweather. The whole of NSB is obsessed with him. If he retired then they would have nothing to do all day. lol.
