salvador did fight gomez lopez & nelson (u could argue that mayweather hasn't fought 3 greater opponents) but thats not the point. mayweather has fought better consistent competition through out his career compared with sanchaz. & this is how you judge overall resumes.
mayweather has fought manfredy (who had just knocked out a prime gatti) he fought judah, Castillo, Corrales, Genaro Hernandez (genaro's only 2 losses came from prime oscar & mayweather) he fought gatti, hatton, & it gets even fuller if you throw in mosley marqez & DLH. so judging by overall consistent opponents. in my opinion, mayweather wins hands down & has the better resume. salvadors career ended a bit too soon. just because mayweather isn't mexican (& is a fighter of today) doesn't mean u can sell him short.
also. as far as sanchaz vs mayweather. i remember looking at a fight of sanchaz. it was against a guy named cowdell. cowdell had the closest style to mayweather that i had seen sanchaz fight (didn't say it was very much like mayweather just the closest) & i had that fight very close. cowdell lost a SD in texas. cowdell fights with his legs apart, he throws the jabs to the body & leans his body to slip a punch (sorta like mayweather) he jumps in & out. mayweather does this 100% better then cowdell & he can do it all night long without getting tired.
me just looking @ the styles, that fight wouldn't be anything good for sanchaz. i believe sanchaz will be out boxed.
