I can't believe you're trying to compare it to Jones - Hopkins 2.
Cordoba is still a top fighter. He ain't ranked #10 like Marquez AND he's rated higher than Vazquez AND he gets payback. PENDEJO!!Comment

What? I could understand if you said fighting Jose Rojas would be pointless because he already got KTFO by Gamboa, but comparing a rematch with Cordoba to Hopkins-Jones II is ******. Hopkins-Jones II was pointless because both were grandpas and Jones just got knocked out. Caballero is coming off of an impressive win, and Cordoba is still a competitor. He's won his last three, and his only losses are to titlists, with one of them being the most avoided boxer in the division.Comment

the rematch should be a thriler, but Maestrito just got out and is not the same yet. Thias time he will loose.BoxingScene.com was informed by a reliable source that discussions for a rematch between super bantamweights Celestino Caballero (34-2, 23KOs) and Ricardo Cordoba (37-2, 23KOs) are getting serious. Cordoba won a twelve round decision over a 19-1 Caballero in 2004. Since the loss, Caballero has won 15 in a row. If a deal can be reached, the fight could end up in the fall as a possible HBO televised opener to Andre Berto's defense of the WBC welterweight title, possibly against his mandatory Selcuk Aydin. i talked to caballero a few hours ago. he said all this is just speculation at this point. i cant say everything, but this isnt really a fight he is interested in. and he wont be going back to 122 either. so if it happened, cordoba would have to move up. dibella needs to get him a fight soon and this is why this fight is being looked at, but it is without pelenchin's blessing.Comment
