BoxingScene.com was informed by a reliable source that discussions for a rematch between super bantamweights Celestino Caballero (34-2, 23KOs) and Ricardo Cordoba (37-2, 23KOs) are getting serious. Cordoba won a twelve round decision over a 19-1 Caballero in 2004. Since the loss, Caballero has won 15 in a row. If a deal can be reached, the fight could end up in the fall as a possible HBO televised opener to Andre Berto's defense of the WBC welterweight title, possibly against his mandatory Selcuk Aydin. Since cab going back to 122 and vasquez jr doesn't have anything concrete for same time period, make it happen.leave cordoba for rigo and make the undercard at least a lil decent.Comment

I really wish these guys would stop bull****ting with this man's career. Why aim low and fight Cordoba, Juan Ma dont want it and neither does Gamboa. The best you can hope for is that Marquez somehow takes Juan Ma out and then you have a fight because Juan Ma will continue to run. Really Caba's people should go after a fight with Chris John. Nobody wants to fight either guy so its obvious those two would be made for each otherComment

boxing sucks... UFC'S TAKING OVER
No mater what the duvas, dundees or any other punk says thats whats killing boxing. Why is so ****ing hard for this gay "CABALLERO" to get a decent shot? Why this *******s have to choose who they fight with when there is no doubt CABALLERO is the best at either 122 or 126. I take my hat of for Calderon even when he lost he fought always the very best at his weight divition just like my man Cotto, Trinidad , Gomez, and so many oldtimers from Puerto rico. That's not the story anymore. Maybe Calderon should share some heart with Juanma Lopez. hahahaha nitramzaid@hotmail.comComment
