Comments Thread For: Fury vs Holmes Set For September 10 on ShoBox

According to a BBC report, unbeaten British heavyweight Tyson Fury (11-0, 9KOs) will now face Donnell "The Real Touch of Sleep" Holmes (32-1, 28KOs) on September 10 at York Hall in London. Fury's opponent Jason Gavern withdrew from the contest. Fury will face his most experienced, toughest opponent to date. Holmes' only loss was a controversial four round technical decision to Brian Minto from last August. Holmes returned in February for a two round TKO of Brian Gregory. Showtime will televise the Fury-Holmes on their ShoBox series.

So this Donnell Holmes, seems to have a good chin, and presumably KO power to an extent. Lets hope he gives Fury a stern test and then the Gavern fight comes back into play in a month or 2.

Right now, he isn't ready for Chisora, but down the line, it makes for an intriguing fight.

        Good news!

Jason Gavern is not fun to watch because of his holding and spoiling, but Donnell Holmes is much better.

This is a real test for Fury.

If Fury doesn't come in decent shape for this fight then I'm just going to give up on him.

Good fight man, looking forward to it. Hopefully he will come in better shape than his last fight.

How does Fury get so much attention after only 11 pro fights?

Have you seen him fight? he is not that good really.

Might go to this. Try and get a picture of me sitting on Fury's lap like John Locke did.

I have never even heard of Donnell Holmes but I would be surprised if Tyson Fury beats him... or any half-decent fighter for that matter.
