What performances made you take notice of a certain fighter?

What fights did you watch that made you think a fighter looked special or got you excited about them.
It dosent matter if its a fighter that didnt amount to anything or if your not even a fan of them, but just a performance that had you in awe.

Alot of people seemed to get this sort of buzz from D Pirogs KO performance of Jacobs.

Ones that come to my mind

    1. Pavlik when he beat Miranda
    2. Jo Jo Dan (when he was robbed in my opinion) against Aydin. I thought Jo Jo Dan looked amazing in that fight.
    3. Calzaghe when he beat Lacy
    4. Hopkins when he beat Pavlik
    5. Barrera when he beat Hamed

What fights had you in awe of certain fighters

Johnny Tapia beating Danny Romero. .

Hence Tapia being probably one of my top 5 all time favorite fighters ever.

From that point on I followed his career.

Paulie Maglinaggi when he lost to Miguel Cotto, I have more impress with him in losing. He talked sooo much **** i thought he was going to get knocked out within 5 rounds but to see him take it and dish it out even with a broken face was surreal to me.

Felix Sturm when he gave Oscar De La Hoya a boxing lesson.

Floyd Mayweather vs Oscar De La Hoya was also a big fight for me. Not because it "got me into" either of the fighters but that fight got me back into boxing. The hype and 24/7 for that fight was amazing and both of them backed it up when they got in the ring. It was more entertaining that people expected.

Winky when he took out Tito. I was already a fan, but the way he embarrassed Tito was just incredible.

Paul Williams beating Margarito. Made me a fan.

Bradley against Lamont Peterson. Everyone always thought of him as a sloppy high pressure volume puncher, and he proved to be anything but.

Oscar vs Ruelas=I used to watch him since the beginning but when he kayoed Ruelas in 2 rds he became my favorite fighter.
Marquez vs Pacquiao 1= being knocked down three times in the 1st rd and almost dominate the rest of the fight was something really impressive.
Martinez vs Roman = he boxed incredibly well and that body shot was sick, I became a fan after that.
Bradley vs Witter=Tim came out of nowhere to put a great performance against the second best fighter at 140 at that moment.
