I like Calderon and HOPE he bounces back stronger and defy the odds.....I see MANY feel like he'll lose a rematch with Segura as well....I saw so many openings for Calderon to land his right hook as Segura was coming in but Ivan chose to jab and move and throw a left when the pressure got too much....Ivan is gonna have to land some hurt because Segura isnt just some wild dude who throws crazy shots....its a method to his madness

Whats with all the Mexico / PR Bashing? Every country has its share of warriors and heartless wimps, it doesnt matter which country it is and its unfair to critizie a whole country because of one person. This was an epic fight and Calderon couldnt keep up with the pace. Gotta give props to Segura for going to PR and fighting under their demands and also gotta give props to Calderon and PR fans for being classy and not disrespectfull even after the loss. Hope boxers who hold belts take a good look at this and start unifying these belts instead of being little *****es like Devon Alexander and crying about money and other dumb stuff because they are scared. Segura himself said more fighters need to start fighting each other to unify and give the fans the fights they want to see.

The result will be the same. Calderon already showed his age and if he fights next year he will only be slower and Segura would dominate him easier and KO earlier.

funny how some people say calderun was winning the fight up until the knockdown (quitting more like it)....segura started to turn it up in the 3,4th round,to me he won rounds 4-8,that to me is not calderon winning up until he quit

Calderon was down on all the judges score cards by 3-4 rounds before the fight was stopped. The Duke was going crazy for him only giving Segura one round in the whole fight, dont know what fight he was watching since Calderon was just running all fight and getting a few counter punches, I had Segura up 1-2 rounds before the stoppage.

even with those openings you say you saw,i doubt they will hurt segura,he'll just do the same,pressure him and go to the body,i don't think calderon can beat him,honestly i thought calderon would beat segura,but when segura said days before fight that he would fight intelligently by not head hunting i thought good and then he actually stuck to his game plan,pressure,body punches and man were those some body punches,from beggining to end,and it worked for him,calderon couldn't keep him off of him

yeah,but some hard core calderun fans say he was winning up until t he quit,thats not so,for sure segura won rounds 4-8,that to me is not calderon winning the fight until calderon gave up...maybe calderon should fight luis lazarte and then a rematch with segura,i doubt he'll want it thought,he's not a warrior,those that no matter what want to win,it showed in this fight,it seems to me he wanted to quit after the 5th round

I totally agree on his decision to take a knee and not take more punishment live another day to fight another day theres nothing embarrassing about that, the only ones that would complain about the way he went out are people that have never stepped in a ring before

hope to see him back in action all greats fall but only the true greats come back from adversity, I always did say though when I watched Calderons fights I would always tell everyone how ****** can they be head hunting, hes to slick and moves well, I mean you can move the head and shoulders but the body is still in the same place segura was determine to hit that body and he did it beautifully
