Calderón should fight before the year is over(november or december) & should go for 1 of the other title holders like Niño or Lazarde..Lazarde(who's 39) is older than Calderón & doesn't have much power & doesn't fight much out of his home country Argentina..Omar Niño would be also a good fight for Calderón since Niño just like Lazarde doesn't have much power & just like Lazarde doesn't fight much out of Mexico(in his 35 fight's he's only fought 2wice out of Mexico)..So it seems like Calderón might have to go to either Argentina or Mexico for his next title & that shouldn't be a problem cause Calderón has defended & fought for the title out of Puerto Rico(just about half of Calderón's title defenses were out of Puerto Rico) Calderón even went to his CHALLENGER'S BACK YARD in Barranquilla, Colombia to DEFEND his title against Ronald Barrera, as a matter of fact Calderón defended his title in Colombia 2 times!! Ironically Niño's next defense is against Ronald Barrera & obviously it's gonna be in Mexico(in Guadalajara, Jalisco to be exact)..If he get's a shot with either of these guy's & win's, then he should set up a rematch against Segura..Calderón is a smart fighter & has a good trainer so they should correct what he did wrong & come with a better fight plan..

Name another Puerto Rican that was in a situation just like Cintróns...U can't cause there is none!!! The only other fighter(I know of) that has fallen out of the ring(not by a punch or a combination of punches) when being separated by the ref was Bernard Hopkins against Robert Allan & it was in the 4th round & even thou Hopkins was ahead on the cards it was declared a NO CONTEST!!!

you say he should have boxed, but he couldn't,he was getting tagged hard which slowed him down,i don't care if he's wiinning the rounds, the key to those rounds he was winning is that he was getting hit, those shots slowed him down,it would be different if he were winning the rounds and not getting hit and all of a sudden one shot ends it,but it didn't happen that way,he was getting hit with hard shots, whenever calderon wanted to clinch segura would also hit him, thats why he lost, you could tell he didn't want to fight any more and decided to take a knee, just like a writer over at boxing news24 said,a liver shot will have a guy in pain, bending over and calderon wasn't like that,he was just quitting,he didn't look to be in pain to me,just all beat up,he just quit, simple as that

That was the most key part of the fight. There was no clean cllinching and clean breaks, everytime Calderon clinched, he was getting hit hard. I told my wife who was watching with me that those hits will mount up for Calderon's tiny frame. At one point with age, those shots start hurting more and more.

Segura did a great job to maximize any opportunity to hit Calderon and those clinches were his perfect chance.

I say great job by Segura, he definitely won me over as a fan with his post-fight grace. His character would suggest that he will give Calderon an opportunity to get his titles back

It would be interesting Calderon fighting again in 2011 and see how much he has left with his style. That might be the only way to say if a rematch will be more competitive.

You are still down endorsing a cheater(a fraud fight against Pac doesn't mean that he is still a top fighter). That is why nobody takes your arguments seriously. Segura won a match with good tactics and excuting the fight plan, he knockout one of the top ten pure boxers in recent history. Instead of celebrating the humble boxer achievement you decide just to **** on ppl for it. Very inmature
