Of course this fight means nothing but in the eyes of the casual fan of both sports it just made boxing look like crap! Dana White and UFC promoted it perfectly he took advantage of a great situation to beat an old outta shape ATG Boxer that had a 9 month "training regime". no as a TMA practitioner i also run into their blindness. So its not just against boxing. MMA guys are just belligerent in general..thinking a system thats been around 40 years at most owns all in creation. Just sickening sometimes.

Nobody expected James to win. It's really not that big of a deal. I give him mad respect for just stepping into the octagon and fighting. Did he look good? No, not at all. But he did his best. Besides, I'm pretty sure he was there to collect a paycheck, nothing more. And he got a bigger check than he ever would have in a boxing ring, and my hat is off to him for that.

but I digress.. my point is essentially MMA and Dana White search out the best scenarios to keep their particular disease prevalent.. they won't fight top prime fighters from any other system..boxing or otherwise.
