Listen, Boxing is the #1 combat sport of all time. James won't lose or else it would mean MMGAY is better

Thats true, however he has no takedown defence or ground guard.
Couture has some stand up training, granted he sucks standing up but its enough to get him by whilst he attempts to take Toney down. Toney has a very small window of opportunity to knock him out and then its over since Couture will have his way with Toney on the ground.Comment

people forget that Couture is not only NOT a spring chicken himself but he was never all that fast to begin with meaning if he goes for a shoot to take down Toney it better be very well timed or he could get a one-two combination that will send him home strapped to a gurney and oxygen tank.
If if you see Couture get Toney against the cage, then Toney is in trouble as Couture is an expert pinning guys against the cage then taking his time, pacing himself, breathing all while negating his opponent and then slowly taking them down in precisely the way that allows him to get an advantageous top position.
The most interesting thing to me about the matchup personally is how STRONG Toney will look or not look against Couture in a clinch. I am really curious how a boxer's physical strength fares against one of the strongest guys in MMA. i.e. whether he will be pushed and thrown around by Couture easily or whether he could muscle him a bit before KTFOing himComment

are you trying to say mma is superior to boxing? **** off with that ****!This fight is the equivalent of a guy bringing a knife to a gun fight. In theory, with a little luck the fellow wielding the knife will be fortunate enough to stab his opponent. However... 19 out of 20 times, the dude with the gun wins. Tim Sylvia's loss will only serve to warn mma fighters about striking. IMHO Boxing is the far better sport, but for the casual sports fan indifferent to the fight game.. This fight may serve to persuade him/her MMA is better. Personally, I'm not too concerned with the general public's perception, b/c true boxing fans know the deal. It seems a lot of boxing fans' love for boxing has somewhat blinded their expectations. Hopefully Toney doesn't end up on every UFC highlight reel ever as a result of tonight.. Boxing deserves better than that.
they are 3rd rate athletes compared to real ones in boxing.Comment
