My only criticism would be the picture of his mother repeatedly popping up during the fighting, it just kinda got in the way imo.
Thanks for the thoughts, Kev and S.G.!

The criticism is as welcome as the kindness.

Sorry to hear about your loss, man. I was pretty harsh and brutal about the subject with this one, wanted it to be a cathartic thing...I imagine it would be hard to watch for someone who'd gone through what you describe.

My apologies if the video brought back any unpleasant memories.

And thank-you for the kind words and encouragement.

Lol, I was gonna make a highlight myself a while back. It was gonna be Pacquiao and Marquez and their boxing destinies being intertwined (concept ripped off from this advert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U719csMdojk) - this was back when a rubbermatch was still viable - and I was gonna put Pruit Igoe as the background music. It would have been totally corny, but ultimately apathy and procrastination put an end to that project.

I don't have a YouTube account but I'll keep an eye out for any videos you upload, from the sounds of it they will be right up my street.

Great concept + a classic boxing motif...and the Glass is a great, idiosyncratic choice.

The open-endedness of it at this point, the mere suggestion of even a slim hope of a conclusive chapter in the Pacquiao-Marquez story, might lend a mercurial, unknown quality to the project and make it still worth doing, if you found the time.

The video you linked reminds me, Paul Malignaggi and Israel Vazquez set to great Morricone themes are on the agenda for coming months.

I'll try to make improvement with each one.

Naw, it's all ok, man, we were more relieved when she went than sad, if that makes any sense...sometimes i put too much out there. Your vid is well done and you put a lot of feeling into it. No need to apoligise, bud...it also brought back good memories, so it's all good!

if anything i should apoligise for bring morbidity into your thread about that excellent vid you made...

just some self-promo for the youtube boxing channel I started today,

I should have a new piece up every month or so, added to this thread when they're ready,

feel free to comment here or on youtube, where you can also rate my output, friend me, subscribe, whatever,

upcoming features will include tributes to "G-Man" Gerald McClellan, Aaron Pryor and Edwin Valero,

but the first installment is my tribute to James Douglas' inspired performance against Mike Tyson in Tokyo 20 years ago,

this was made when my process was still very much in the raw - hopefully, future productions will be a little more technically polished,

hope you enjoy in some way, and many thanks for checking out the thread and video.

Damn, man! Very moving stuff right there. The song is perfect for that video! Nice work MIB!!
