Comments Thread For: Bradley-Alexander Update: $1.1 Million May Not Be Enough

BoxingScene.com was advised by a reliable source that promoter Gary Shaw made an offer of $1.1 million to WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley for a unification showdown with WBC/IBF champion Devon Alexander. HBO has reserved the date of January 29 for the possible fight. To date, Shaw has not received a response to that offer from the Bradley camp. [Click Here To Read More]

If I look at it objectively, that is a little weak given the fact that it's the first big fight in the works on HBO. You would think HBO could pay these guys at least maybe 1.6 mill each given the fact they will have a fresh budget. But even so, only a diva would turn down a 1.1 million dollar payday to prove he's the best in the division given that it's hard to envision HBO tolerating this fight not happening and there is no other interesting fight except for Bradley-Khan.

I agree, as a Bradley I would be upset if this fight didn't happen cuz he didn't sign due to him not getting more than 1.1mil.

These guys are clowns. I could give a **** at this point.

One guy is an overrated featherfisted dullard who fights in the desert in front of 2 thousand people and the other guy just clearly lost his title but got a gift.

This is a BAD card, nothing more.

in fairness to khan he brings ppv buyers and quite a number, so earns his money, these guys i doubt do the same numbers yet pull numbers out their arses and want the same money if not more then Khan and dont bring the same to the table...prima donnas.
they want to have their cake and eat it. they need to realise 1 of them wins big and 1 loses big after this fight. start fighting and stop talking
