    Could Mayweather-Williams be a possibility?

Yeah I know I'm probably dreaming, but there have been quite a few strange things going on that show signs of this fight.

    1. Both have been awfully quiet lately, which includes their loudmouth trainers. Until like three days ago, I haven't heard Roger's mouth at all and I can't even remember the last time Williams' trainer talked.

    2. Williams continues to show no interest in a Martinez rematch, despite there being no other options at 154.

    3. Williams is still searching for a fight at WW for some reason. Berto is with Haymon and is fighting Aydin, Pac is fighting Margarito, Cotto is fighting Chavez, Mosley is fighting Mora, Clottey is scared and Bradley is fighting Alexander. Whose left?

    4. Is Floyd even with Haymon anymore?

I think theres more chance of him fighting Martinez to be honest, but who knows, if he were to fight either of these 2 it would be a HUGE statment.

Yeah im pretty sure hes still with Al Haymon.

          Could be, never say never.

Maybe Floyd has got this idea in his head to keep fights IN-HOUSE as a response to Top Rank's In-house fights of lately.

So fighting a fellow Al-Haymon managed fighter who also happens to be a P4P Elite, would make sense. Floyd would generate sufficient amount of money and would keep the Lion's share. THE ONLY OBSTACLE LEFT, beat P.Will.

How so? Against Williams he'd be fighting someone who isn't a huge puncher, is slower than him, struggles against boxers and it would be at 147. But against Martinez, he'd be fighting someone in a higher weight class, possibly two if they do it at Middleweight, and that fighter is also very quick and still has great legs. His only big advantage on both fighters is his timing, but Williams has shown that he struggles against good timing. Martinez hasn't. We've only seen him against sluggers and guys with limited boxing skills, like Cintron.

Plus the fact that Williams is a skysc****r would attract A LOT of attention.

Totally agree... Mayweather would make easy work of Paul Williams who IMO is the most overrated of the top fighters in the world... It would be an intriguing fight because of Paul being 6-2 with a 7-foot reach, but Floyd wouldnt have much trouble with Paul who to me is still an unfinished product...

Paul should fight both Martinez and Cintron again... Cotto is the champ at 154 and one of the best in the world James Kirkland will be home soon...

Paul should stop chasing smaller men at 147 and conquer 154 because there are plenty of options there...

Nah would never happen Williams would want more than 50/50 and I doubt Mayweather would accept those terms..

its not what us boxing fans want to see, but who Mayweather wants to fight. Williams is a possibility, anything is possible. But I doubt it. I will be happy to be wrong, though. Mayweather-Williams is intriguing.

Paul Williams may be a bonehead sometimes, but he isn't a complete idiot. A win over Floyd would make him skyrocket to the top of boxing. They'd probably start hyping him up so much and comparing him to Tommy Hearns. It would also put him in position to fight Manny Pacquiao in a David vs Goliath type match. That fight would be HUGE. A 5'6" guy vs a 6'2" guy. To get an opportunity like that, and given all of the advantages he has over Floyd, I think he would even take a 30/70 split.
