This, Wlad is bar the most known for his jab and uses it the most, Vitaly uses it but has more of a variety and does weird jabs that turn into hooks all of a sudden, I haven't seen too much of Dzhinzhurik so can't comment on it. I think Kotelnik has a good jab based on the Khan and Alexander fights.

Wlad is No 1 for sure, whoever put Mayweather ahead of Wlad in this department needs to seriously watch a Wlad fight. Mayweather has never knocked people down and controlled the fight with his jab alone, Wlad does it almost every fight. No one can get past Wlad's jab.

my top 3 would be something like..

      1. mayweather
      2. wlad
      3. winky

taylor, kessler, pavlik and tarver deserve a mention aswell.
Clearly, you haven't seen the Mosley fight. Cotto won that fight with his jab. A fight against a HOF'er too.

But generally I do agree. I think Cotto uses his jab more than people give him credit for, but for how good his jab is he doesn't use it enough.

He should be throwing 30 jabs a round.

I don't think Khan's jab has any place in the top three. Has anyone else noticed how Amir sets his feet when he pops the jab? He kind of trotts forward forward so neither foot is planted when he throws.

Okay, he generates some pop through upper body twist, but a good punch starts from the feet up, especially the jab. How someone can consistently make such an elementary mistake time and again with a trainer like Roach in their corner is beyond me.

He tends to start off quite refined, but once he is in his groove these simple things go right down the drain. People make a big deal out of his chin, but I'd be more concerned about flash knockdowns caused by something as absolutely fundamental as making sure your feet are in the right position when you're throwing. A counter right over the top of one of those jabs would see him taking a count, I've no doubt. He just needs to fight someone who can match him for reach, has moderate power and good timing.

I'd live to see Khan have 12 really hard rounds, he has never overcome real adversity nor beat anyone he wasn't meant to wipe the floor with. When he does I'll start to pay attention more.

After the September 4 fights, I have a clear top 3.

                1. Wladimir Klitschko
                2. Sergiy Dzinziruk
                3. Felix Sturm

                  Was my exact response.

                  IMO it's not even debatable.

Totally agreed. Back when Winky Wright used to fight for a living, I think you could make a case for him being #2 or #3 (I'd put him at #3 in front of Sturm, but behind Dzinziruk), but... since he is a full time spectator now, I don't know who else would even be close in that category.
