Winky Wright is in my small list of favorites, and what you have said here is spot on.

I like him too when he used it it was trouble for his opponent, but his in activity has allowed other people to push him off the list and when he got a chance to showcase it he didn't.
It's sade I thought he was signing with TR and was going to be active again, guess not

I love cotto's though, its like a ramrod the way he uses it. I think if would have kept his jab going against pac then he would have maybe won a few more rounds and not got tore up so much. he does seem to abandon it rather to much though.

Those are some of the reasons why I didn't include him in my top three. A jab, unlike other punches, can't just be evaluated in isolation. It has to be looked at in relation to a fighter's style and how it is used since it's not primarily a power punch but a range finder, style disrupter, combination set up tool etc. Cotto's jab is heavy and well timed, but it's not an absolutely integral part of his style, nor does he always use it consistently to break fighters down. I also have a hard time imagining that he could win fights off his jab alone, which to me is the hallmark of a first-rate jab.

Yes, because if you noticed (and it clearly flew over your head) that picture is supposed to be an INSULT to Ricky Hatton you fuggin' moron. Hatton was an even bigger fraud than Kahn. At least Kahn has some degree of talent, and has learned some defense to cover up his china chin. Something Ricky never managed to do. (Hence why he was almost *killed* against Manny Pacquiao.)

idk why ppl think khan and cotto got great jabs. cotto has a powerful left jab which is natural since hes a powerful fighter and left handed. it does great damage and back his oponent up but its not a versetaille jab that can be used for much else, he wouldnt be able to win a fight with his jab alone either. khan has a good jab but to say its one of the best in the sport is a excageration to say the least.

taylor, kessler, pavlik and tarver deserve a mention aswell.
