How would boxing do if it was fake like WWE?

So lets say they put on a show every week with some colorful boxing characters. And put on some fake fights on regular tv with a cheesy good evil storyline which perpetuates week after week building up to a few PPVs a month. Just like wrestling..

I think it would do great personally.
