I have a theory about this but some of you may find it controversial.

Hopkins has figured out a way to exploit the white ******* guilt of HBO to such an extent that they feel compelled to put him on (even though they hate his fights) because they're afraid they'll be called racists by Hopkins.

Who is a master of using the "eternal victim" card to get his way when it comes to Hbo.

I'm not saying anything, I'm just saying.


Mayweather is starting to use the same schtick with HBO even though they've overpaid him for garbage fights for the last 10 years.

Not gonna disagree with Hopkins, could be true or not true, but how are they overpaying Mayweather when he is paying them by the numbers he generated in his last 4 fights (Delahoya, Hatton, JMM, Mosley).

Would anyone want to see Hopkins fight again? I mean, I LOVE the science just as much as the next hardcore fan, but what Hopkins does at this point isn't even science. ****ing HBO man. You would have thought that the PPV #'s from the Jones/Hopkins fight would be an indicator of who the public isn't interested in.

Yes he does some dirty tactics but overall I like to see him fight.

His fights with RJJ and Ornelas were bad due to the standard of opposition he was fighting. The Pascal fight should be good.

As much as I dislike Hopkins, I can't really blame him. He's fighting the #1 guy in the world and brings more fans to the table than Dawson.

Forgot to mention Pascal isn't a blown up Middleweight that Hopkins is fighting either.

He's a blown up Super Middleweight though. But here's the thing. Dawson fought him and called out Bute while ignoring Cloud's call outs and everybody was like yippie and had a party in the street. But if Hopkins wants to fight those guys, he's fighting smaller dudes. I don't get some people on here.

It's just that once Hopkins wins, we will see him hang on to the title without fighting for a long time like we did before. I don't think it matters that much though, because 175 is a dud of a division right now.
