Lets talk about facts:
1. Boxers know what kind of wraps they have because they follow the process all the way. You have to be out of your mind or totally ******ed if you really don't know whats going on with your own hands. We assume Margo is mentally healthy so for sure he had to know what was going on.
2. Boxers have or do not have punching power. Margo seems not to have punching power considering the Mosley and the Garcia bouts. But with the help of the plaster wraps he was a totally different fighter, putting on great knock outs and gaining fame as a fearless slugger. This was later known as the brick attack, a shame for boxing an a real life threat for his opponents.
3. Margo with out the plaster wraps is an ordinary fighter that looks slow, lacks refined boxing technique and has poor defense. In other words a tomato can.
Conclusion: for Pac this fight will be a picnic, for Margo a payday, for the boxing world a disgrace.Comment

If you really equate steroid use with carrying an offensive weapon (in the form of plaster) into the ring, you're a complete idiot. The latter is life threatening. The former may help someone to win (although even that is disputed by many drug experts, in the case of boxing); but it is not likely to result in anyone dying. That's why plaster use in the past has resulted in lifetime bans, whereas steroid use in the past has resulted in 6 month suspensions.
Mosley without steroids beat De La Hoya decisively. In the rematch, Mosley with steroids was extremely lucky to get the decision - and should have lost, in the opinion of most ringsiders. That doesn't mean he shouldn't have been punished - he should, but unfortunately he wasn't caught at the time; but it does prove that they didn't actually help him.Last edited by Dave Rado; 08-27-2010, 09:00 PM.Comment

It's not always as simple as that. For instance, one of the most dramatic knock-outs of all time was scored by Wilfred Benitez against Maurice Hope. Hope was a world class fighter who had been WBC world champion for two years at the time, but Benitez sparked him unconscious with one punch. Hope's leg started to shake uncontrollably while he lay unconscious on the canvas, and he had to be given oxygen. But Benitez was not usually a knock-out artist.Comment
