even though povetkin lost his IBF rating, he still is #3 in WBO which puts him in striking distance on another mandatory position vs wlad\peter winner.maybe povetkin vs adamek for that november 6th date in newark...just specutating but that could be a final eliminator for a shot at WBO title.of course tua is #2 so he could be in there too.maybe atlas has a solid plan to get sasha in position & ready for the klitschko fight.could haye be in the cards? if sasha fights tua then he will have that experience vs a big puncher.noone knows if sasha can take a big punch or not.hes never fought a puncher & tua at this point is looking very beatable...dont right off teddy atlas & sasha yet...maybe a plan is in place that his camp has developed.time will tell...

He really should fight Michael Grant. That seems to be pretty good prep for the Klitschkos, obviously Chagaev is too good of an opponent for him, especially on short notice...and what would the winner get? Another chance to get beaten mercilessly by Wladimir?

If he finished 2010 with Michael Grant and anyone else, I dont care if its Sosnowski, or Holyfield, or Barrett. If he fights 2 guys who I have at least heard of, with one being a taller guy, I would think that means hes on the right track and getting ready to attempt to put up a fight against Wladimir. If he took 2 fights in 2011, and fought a legit contender in the spring, perhaps a summer brawl with Wlad would be good and he'd be as ready as he ever will be.

Povetkin's next opponent could be Jermell Barnes or Sedrick Fields.

If they decide to put him in with a tall opponent, it will likely be Julius Long.

Michael Grant would be seen by Teddy as too dangerous for Sasha. Grant has his confidence back, now that he's been away from Teddy for a few years.

Good point. I agree, what the heck is wrong with Atlas, why does it always appear like hes mimicking Clint Eastwood from Million Dollar Baby? Remember Clint wouldnt let his prize fighter fight for a title either and hwo he was never ready. I just dont get it.

Teddy destroys souls. The man is a lunatic.

Good to hear that Povetkin will be back in action. I remember several years ago he was the heavyweight prospect to watch. Hopefully he fights some credible opponents instead of the 'bum of the month' guys he's been facing recently...

Vinny Maddalone is not a bad first fight but he needs to face someone like Boytsov, Dimitrenko, Ibragimov et al in his subsequent fight...

Teddy is a nutcase who ruins the fighters he trains.
Teddy is making Povetkin fight more entertaining, not that boring east european style
