I think Paul Williams thinks he is a bigger star than he is and thought he could get bigger fights. When that didn't work in his favor, he was/is willing to fight Martinez.

Nothing wrong with going after big fights.

People forget in his post fight interview he said hed love to fight Martinez again.

People forget that Williams offered Martinez an immediate rematch that was turned don by Sergio.

So the talk of him all of sudden being scared of Martinez is just fan boy bullshyt. Not saying it was you saying it but the TS and a few other posters love spouting that garbage.

I talked to Paul on Twitter yesterday and the only thing holding up the fight is the venue. They have no idea where to put the fight. It has nothing to do with Williams or Martinez at this point everything is finalized.

Well thats odd because he offered Martinez an immediate rematch that was turned down so I hardly believe he didnt want to fight.

Oh and the fight is November 20th everything is good to go except the venue.

That's good to hear. I hope these guys don't ruin eachother. I mean getting hit as many times as Martinez did, and getting caught flush as many times as Williams did takes a lot out of fighters.

I don't think that Williams is avoiding a rematch, but I don't think it was his first choice either. Martinez is a difficult guy to fight.
