What fight are you REALLY sure was fixed?

What a ****ing dumb thread from a 'hardcore boxing fan'. Boxing is trying to shake itself of the stigma, but idiots keep trying to put pieces in that aren't there.
Why the **** would you fix a fight in favor of the favorite going into a fight? Let alone an almost 40 year old favorite?
To cut him in for a % in a partnership for a company you already own, started, and have already built from the ground up?
That's the ******est **** I've heard in a minute... Not even gonna go into the 3-1 underdog by the name of Clottey.
Secondly, you rig a fight in Pacmans favor regardless of his opponent because you have the biggest fight ever against FLoyd on the horizon.

Anyway, as for the topic.
Cliff Ettienne and Bruce Seldon vs Tyson looked su****ious.
ESPECIALLY seldon who didn't even get hit.
They either dove, or just didn't want to be in the ring with mike.Last edited by intoccabile; 08-26-2010, 08:45 PM.Comment

No way in hell Oscar-Hopkins was fixed. If you follow De La Hoya's character, you know that he is a man who hates to lose, who convinces himself that he won certain fights he lost, has excuses ready for other losses. He hates to lose.
Is somebody going to tell me that a true competitor and someone who was a student of the sport in De La Hoya would take a dive rather than win the undisputed Middleweight Championship of the World?
No way. It's bull****. He was trying to win that fight.Comment

"The overall numbers favored Clottey. While Cotto threw 101 more punches (723), Clottey landed 43 more punches (222), according to CompuBox estimates. Clottey also landed 44 more powerpunches."
I did have Clottey winning and I think because it was in New York the result was influenced.
Clottey admitted he only had himself to blame.
Clottey could have thrown and landed more punches to put the result beyond doubt. Clottey didn't and he lost a SD. That is boxing for you.Comment

Yeah..whatever
Someone is just su****iously for no reason what so ever yelling "body shot" and then hopkins nails oscar with a shot that even the announcers were spoofed at.
The punch itself was so week that the glove didn't even fold under any pressure upon contact and oscars skin barely even moved to indicate there was being enough force to damage the kidney.
Then he rolls around perfectly fine and curses at himself before not trying to beat the count, then doesn't beat the count ,and stands right up instead of taking a stool.
The list of things that were wrong with that FIX go on and on.. not to mention the ROBBERY did to Felix Sturm the fight before just in order to allow the fix to happen and announce their partnership afterward.Comment
