I think Martinez vs Mayweather pulls the most PPV's apart from pacquiao..
The real question should be "Whose actually left for Floyd to fight?"

I really hope it isn't Berto. Right now he hasn't proved that he's anything better than a B class welterweight, and until he fights someone like Mosley or Cotto and wins, he won't be a good fight for Floyd. He would run into right hand leads all night just like Hatton did, and I seriously wouldn't be surprised if he hit the deck late. I'd love to see Mayweather-Angulo though, but he's in the same situation as Berto. He hasn't proved that he's above the B class. For starters he needs to avenge that Cintron loss, and then maybe go after the Williams-Martinez winner.
All three of these guys are fighting in November.Originally posted by Dominicano Soy!Pacquiao (Which wont happen)

the only ones left for floyd isI keep hearing ****** stuff like Matthew Hatton or Nate Campbell, but people haven't noticed that all of Floyd's fights follow a pattern. The fighters he gets in the rings with have to either have a big name, a lot of hype (in some cases they're hype jobs), and/or bring a lot of money. The only time that isn't the case is when he's fighting a tune up, and he hasn't taken a tuneup since he moved up to 147.
Judah: Big name, lots of hype and brought a lot of money
Baldomir: Hypejob, had dominant wins over Judah and Gatti
Oscar: Umm...the biggest name in boxing at that point? lol
Hatton: Lots of hype, a big name and brought a lot of money
Marquez: p4p #2, top Mexican boxer and known for his two wars with Pacquiao
Mosley: Been in the ring with everyone and their mom, lineal WW champ, big name
So whose actually left who doesn't have a fight scheduled already that actually meets those requirements? Campbell sure as hell doesn't meet those requirements, and Matthew Hatton isn't a huge name either. He just lives off of his brother's name. He also doesn't have any significant wins.
1) pac (biggest fight in boxing, money and legacy)
2) martinez (hype, not much money)
3) pwill (hype, not much money)
a distant gulf between these guys and...
4) khan (hype and UK/Dubai money)
5) alexander (fight's gotta be in st. lou for the money if he beats bradley)Comment

Which is why two of the three southpaws he faced hit the canvas and the other one was about to before the lowblow? What's next, "they were overrated, or they gave Floyd a hard time"?Last edited by BoxerDood; 08-26-2010, 08:08 PM.Comment

But the problem is, all three of those guys have fights in November, so that eliminates that possibility. As for Khan and Alexander, by the time they're ready for Floyd, he'll be 40.the only ones left for floyd is
