this. in retrospect, it's easy to say but the truth is Pacquiao moved up 12 lbs to fight a guy who was bigger and stronger than he was.

It's not pacquiao fault de la hoya didnt lose the weight correctly.

Hatton was supposed to maul pacquiao according to many analysts. by the time pacquiao fought clottey, he wasn't the underdog anymore.

This is exactly the point I'm trying to make.

Pacquiao moved up 12 pounds to meet De La Hoya. As a result he was 3 to 1 underdog.

He faced the dangerous Ricky Hatton who was undefeated in his prime fighting weight of jr. welterweight. This made Pacquiao a 2 1/2 to 1 underdog.

Then he faced Sugar Shane Mosley victor Miguel Cotto at a highly risky 145 lbs., resulting in him being a 2 to 1 underdog.

He then fought a poor risk/reward fight against a natural 160 pounder.

What drives Pacquiao's insanity to face opponents that could totally hurt his physical well-being? Does he have some kinda death wish or something? He coulda just fought an old 5 years past his prime fighter like Sugar Shane Mosley and made the same amount of money.

Instead, he chooses to fight a fighter that no less than Floyd Mayweather ducked a few years ago.

Manny Pacquiao had some balls to fight bigger opponent from 106 lbs to 151lbs. And he likes challenge. unlike other boxer who don't have some balls to fight.

Go and look at Mosley destroy Marg , then figure the lay off then figure his fight back he looked ordinary and then figure in pulling him down to a weight he will struggle at today . difficult challenge I think not , more Arum manipuation to milk the most money and keep Pac winning before Floyd kills his cow and Manny retires , you fellas swallow Arums bull**** like its a lolly pop .

              Height: only 5 '6
              Reach: only 66 inches

Why can't Pacquiao just pick someone more of his own midget size instead of challenging and taking risks against gigantic adversaries? Does he really still have anything to prove?
...What? Now here's to hoping that Margarito can return to form, but even at his best, Manny would have a field day on his face. Margo won't get knocked out, I don't think, but he will be outclassed. This thread is ******ed.

I guess you weren't on this site before the Odlh/Pac bout. Mostly everyone on here were calling it a joke of a fight because Pac was too small for Oskie. Hatton was the man at 140 lb you forgot?

                  idiot.

When Pacquiao fought Dela Hoya nobody gives Pacquiao a chance to win.

Ricky Hatton was the KING of Jr. Welterweight he is undefeated.

Joshua Clottey a natural 170 lbs ponder vs 147lbs Pacquiao at fight night.

I see you are trying hard to hate...And that's okay. To each his own. Just please don't try and act as if you had these thoughts before he fought Oscar and Hatton...You didn't.

If by some chance you did, you were in a very small select group of people that new Manny was that damn good.

Edit: I'm mainly speaking of the Oscar fight. I trhought Manny would beat Hatton in 1 round (almost did)...Even still, many thought (maybe even you) thought Hatton would beat Manny.

The "shot" talk didn't happen till after the KO.
