I was reading that Murad Muhammad thread and I don't know much about the guy so I looked him up and on wikipedia it said he promoted Holyfield who made 2 million vs Fres Oquendo in '06...
what do you think he's making now?
do his fights even sell when it comes to live gate? just wondering..

I believe he's making between $300K-500K per fight these days. That's a good payday for any boxer but much much less than his mega paydays he made in the 90's.

I always hear about him fighting but it never gets televised. He obviously must still be drawing crowds to be making that kind of money still.

That may be a ton of $$$ to me or you but to Evander it's chump change. He still lives in a huge mansion and has to pay alot of money in child support and alimony. He needs several big 1 million + paydays to get out of the financial hole he's in....

No not really, last fight was against Botha and its had only a few thousand people live and im not sure how much PPVs were sold.

he only had 2000 in attendance to see him fight frans botha...in the 90's he was $30 million\fight without gate & ppv %.he & tyson were the big meal tickets then.lewis caught up years later but needed to be undisputed champ while tyson could make 10million & sell massive ppv to fight clifford etienne...its amazing the money tyson & holyfield could generate back then...

It's really unbelievable that he could squander that much $$$. Granted he didn't net $300 million after manager and training fees, taxes, etc. but still, he made a fortune boxing...

And blowing that whole fortune in such a short time is whats really shocking. He brought like a 100 room house and throw these lavish parties.

Just like Tyson who made a Forbes estimated $400 mil and then filed for bankrupcty in 2003. Documents from his divorce showed he spent about $400,000 a month

Murad Muhammad is a crook. He is well known for bouncing checks and stiffing his fighters out of their money.
