Why do people dislike Paul Williams?

Oh no nothing is wrong with middleweight he should stay there and maybe one division higher to super middleweight if he can add muscle to his frame. Hell I don't even have a problem with him fighting at Super welterweight but when he starts talking this welterweight non sense where the two best fighters don't get any bigger than 5 ft 8in then yeah I see him ducking not only the taller rangier fighter but also ducking the thicker and stronger fighters.

He barely uses his height or reach and his only loss came at ww vs. a 5-9 fighter.

Saying that, I don't see how anyone can dislike Williams. He fights anyone, and it is always a great occasion.

I never understood why people dislike him you pretty much summed up my sentiment. He truly is a great performer and all around fighter.

And he naturally isn't a welterweight either which is my point of all this. Just becasue he can boil himself down to 147 doesn't make him a natural welter. He seems to only wants fight where he holds all the physical advantages in hight and reach and size. I want him to fight fighters that are physically strong enough to make his height and reach meaningless or for him to fight fighters that can sort of match up with him hight and reach wise. Welters cant do that which is why I feel he wants to fight in that weight class. Now if he did sign the Sergio Martinez fight then good for him thats where i want him at but if he is gonna continue to cry for a welterweight bout he will never get then I will continue to have no respect for him.

Hell even if he fought Shane Mosely I would be happy at least the guy has the physicality to step in with such a big guy. But calling out Pac or floyd is just ridiculous. Pac was a lightweight 2 years ago come and floyds not exactly this towering welter either.
