My problem with the fight is... what does it prove? It's a publicity stunt. She can't even come close to any good male fighter, so this is just one more match which shouldn't be taking place. Same thing is going on with Wie and golfing.

It starts off with her getting into the ring with some local bum and winning. Then she fights someone a little better. Eventually, in a couple years the next big female badass wants to step into the ring and beat someone better, and the first female ends up killed in the ring.

I can't stand Ann Wolfe and I hope she gets her f'ing head knocked off. She is a dangerous fighter but has no class what so ever. Any fighter that even thinks of taking this fight is in a no win situation. Cause if he knocks the **** out of her then it will be "oh he hit a girl" and if he gets KO'd then he's a bum.

i cant imagine how any good is gonna come out of this for the sport of boxing. so say she is a badass, she's still a woman and your gonna have a man PUNCHING a woman on televison around the world. i dont see how that could ever look good, wether its a sport or not. and what if she gets ****ed up, like gerald mcllelan ****ed up? can you imagine the amount of bad media and publicity the sport would get bombed with for allowing some ****y ass woman to try to show her flower power against a man? i read alot of these boxing articles about how boxing is going down the drain, well i think this is the kind of **** that could end it for good. i really wish they would not allow this circus to happen. i dont have a problem with women wanting to be boxers but for christ sake, only let them fight each other.

Amen brother. This "fight" is nothing but a sham and a joke. A publicity stunt as you say, and what does it prove. You put the best women boxer in the world in the ring with a pathetic tomato can of a male fighter. then if she wins it's some great accomplishment promoting womens equality. If she loses, well it was to a man so it's understandable. Sooo ****ing pointless! This is similar to billy Jean king, the best women's tennis player in the world at the time beating a 60 year old washed up hasbeen of a former male pro tennis player. I don't even think the guy tried and when king won they tried to make it out as if it proved a women can compete with men at any level.

I love women. I have a daughter who I want to grow up with all the opportunities that her brother has. However, it is a simple fact that women are physically weaker than their male conterparts.

I have serious doubts as to Ann actually signing the contract, and really it isn't about her fighting a man, it's about no women being willing to fight her! At this point I have seen offers being made to all kinds of opponants who always seem to turn down the opportunity to fight her.

All of you expressed my sentiments exactly. Man young men are taught not to hit women and to respect women etc. what type of message will this be sending to our young ones out there. Now every woman in the world will want to get into boxing and fight men, Next they will be suing and wanting to integrate the NFL, and NBA. Beyond that its just and anomoly and nonsense that doesnt need to occur. womens boxing is already trash why bring it over to the mens side. they have what they want a womens boxing division etc. why not just leave it at that and leave the two seperate and mutually exclusive?
