Don't you know that HBO fights that are shown at 10 PM on the East coast are tape-delayed by three hours when shown at 10 PM in the Pacific time zone (California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington)?

Really, what DIFFERENCE does it make if a fight is tape-delayed three hours or a few hours more?

The truth is that Americans won't rally behind Dmitry Pirog, because he's Russian and pretty unknown to everyone in America, who didn't buy Marquez/Diaz II on PPV, and wasn't hardcore enough to find a stream (which is the majority of the numbers HBO gets for WCB or BAD).

Unfortunately, I think the ratings would be low for that sort of show. I don't think HBO is particularly racist, just interested in making money for their network, and that involves feeding into some unfortunate truths about the American public.

If an American were randomly flipping through their HBO channel guide, and saw Paul Williams vs. Dmitry Pirog coming up, and had no idea who either were... don't you think the majority of Americans would at least subconsciously want Paul Williams to win, because he has a typical American name, and doesn't sound like a Soviet military ranking officer?

Greenberg is a *** and he's the type of *** who hates white people even more than the average black nationalist.

Exactly what SHOULD Wlad have done in the Austin fight? He stopped Austin in round two.

Whether Wlad wins by KO in an early round, by late TKO or goes the distance, the haters will never be satisfied.

This makes sense because in the bible "the ***" is the devil who is able to trick people into thinking he's just a normal person so people aren't wise to the chicanery because "the ***" is so good at deception.

This clearly applies to Greenburg who blatantly promotes boring black fighters and ignores superior white fighters from Eastern Europe.

But he hasn't mentioned Pirog yet.

What do YOU think, should Greenburg show Pirog's next fight on HBO?
In a interview he said he wanted to take 1 fight then he could be back on hbo

I can see why HBO would deny Vlad after Sultan

Stop trying to play the race card just because your great grandmother was 1/16 Ukrainian

Why invest in someone that is 32? If HBO was smart they would put money into young prospects that could make their company money for future decades. Pirog isn't going to benefit HBO much.

Probably not his next one, definitely not if its in Eastern Europe.

The best way for Pirog to get back on HBO would be to stay active and consider moving to the USA or Canada.

HBO playing tape delays of fights that have already happened is only occasionally a worthwhile use of their budget.

I remember Wlad saying a while back that if you want to become an international star in boxing, you need to go to the USA and put your time in there. Get the face-time in and let people all over the world see you, then you can go back and defend your titles at home.

Pirog is just like Martinez: he was an unknown here and shocked everyone when he upset Bunema. Just like Martinez, Pirog needs to have more fights here and build up some name value if he wants to get big fights/paydays.

If he doesn't, people will just duck him by saying he "isnt a draw"
