Realistically... Floyd makes Angulo look silly.

I'm not a Floyd fan, and Angulo has always entertained me in the ring... but I think it's a stylistic mis-match.

I disagree Reed,when I think about Floyd,I just don't see him doing well against a big,strong pressure fighter,that's why there wasn't a Margarito fight at 147!!

I dont think he will fight Cotto. He doesnt want to fight a Top Rank fighter but we will see.

I have come to believe that Floyd starts slowly,but gets stronger as the fight goes on,while Cotto starts faster but fades later!!I think Cotto jabs well early on & if by some miracle Stewart can keep him pumping his jab,that fight can end up very close!!

SOunds like floyd ODH 2 onyl Manny will have Cotto better prepared.

I know where you are coming from, but the way in which Angulo fights... I justt see him being picked apart, and he's not fast enough on his feet to keep Floyd where he wants...

I'd bet the house on Floyd, and it's no disrespect to Angulo.

3-4 good rounds,that's it??No,Angulo brings pressure all night & I'll go out on a limb & say his power is bigger than Mosley's,(which is big)!!I don't think Angulo will stop firing & I don't think Floyd can move away for 12 rounds,when Angulo lands,I don't think Floyd stays on his feet!!

The only reason I say 3-4 rounds is the conditioning factor, he's definitely a big puncher, but I don't think PBF will stand in front of him like he did with Mosley.

First of all... I don't KNOW anything.

But I am willing to bet 50 million points on it, if you care to take the bet?

Second of all... Floyd can fight whoever he wants, wherever he wants... and nobody is going to deny him or tell him different.

Third of all, Berto is an Al Haymon fighter, who honestly has zero chance of beating Floyd... there is no reason to risk Bertos undefeated record for a single time big pay day, but now Berto will have lost his luster by losing... I see them continuing to milk Berto's record as long as they can.

It's possible Floyd fights a lesser name, takes 75% of the purse and uses it as a warm up fight for Pac in May...

IMO He should just fight Cotto... who in my opinion would be slightly tougher than a warm up.

I know people will disagree to the fullest etc... but I really don't think Cotto wins more than 2 rounds..

And I have nothing but love and respect for Cotto.

Not all surgeries are created equal.. soemtimes they just repair a small tendon, sometimes they restructure the muscle in the shoulder... one can take a month to heal the other can take 6-8 months.

So I am curious as to the severity of the injury/surgery, and also how soon he is going in for it.

According to todays article, he had the surgery done last month - but rumors circulating that it may keep him from fighting in Dec. I posted in that thread that I think it may be him keeping his options open for a possible fight with FMJ, because he had started talks of a JCC jr fight AFTER his surgery and there was no mention of it being a problem at the time. Now, it MIGHT be a problem? Hmm.

I see Floyd leaning straight back on a few of those jabs and coming in with a straight right hand, like he's done to every single opponent up until now.

The problem with the jab is, it CAN work against Floyd... but only for so long.

You can't come in to a fight with Floyd as a one trick pony... it will for a minute, but the next minute, your jab will start to be countered.

That's where Manny Stewart comes in though!!
