Cotto suffered an auto accident in 2001 & broke his right arm in 3 different places & according to doctor's his career was in jeopardy..He had screws & a rod put in his arm & Doctors told him if he was ever going to fight again he would have to wait over a year or so..He was in the fighting 7 months later!!! In the Foreman fight Cotto was fighting with a pinched nerve caused by the rod & it actually started bothering him during training for the Foreman fight!! that's the reason for his surgery..He got the screws & rod taken out..Just to show He's not a complaining little ***** like a lot of other fighters out there!!!

If you shall read again, he never said he wasnt fighting, all he said was that his training will start later because of his shoulder. I believe that is the shoulder he messed up in a car accident during his early career. It is a serious thing so please stop with the haterade!!

If Bob really tried Cotto vs. Chavez, Jr. at 160lbs, I'll be shocked. Chavez has a couple good options right now in Carl Froch & Jean Pascal which make way more sense right now, Froch the most.
