As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, WBC super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler has withdrawn from the Super Six tournament with an eye injury. Kessler could be out of action until the middle of next year. He was advised by a physician to rest for a period of up to nine months. He was going to face Allan Green on September 25. Feel bad for Kessler, but what a way for Froch to get his belt back. He had a very controversial run with the title...winning a debatable fight with Dirrell, then losing a close decision with Kess, but a win over Abe will determine him as a rightful champion.Comment
