Usually I totally agree with you on most topics jose, but if that were the case then they wouldn't have those red lights in the corners like the had back then to signal to the ref that the round was in it's last ten seconds.

Not that it matters much, but can they score a round 10-6? I thought since Corrrales got knocked down twice it was a 10-7, then Steele took a point away for spitting out the mouthpiece. If they score rounds 10-6, I think that would have been the proper scoring in that 10th round of that fight.

Those are there to let everyone know there is ten seconds left just like the clapping.

If the ref feels a fight should be stopped at the 2:55 mark or the .5 second mark then he shoulds stop it.

Its not his job to keep time thats a fact. Yeah I know everyone likes to think it is but it aint his job is to make sure its a clean fight and keep the fighters best intrest in mind.

He looked at a guy who was beaten up badly, both eyes shut, blood pouring out of every hole in his head and asked him twice if he was ok and both times he got no responce he should have stopped it.

Acelino Freitas over Jorge Barrios was up there. He was down big time on my cards at the time of the K.O. in the 12th.

I agree 100%. OldGringo made a good case, and I think this is the only subject i've ever disagreed with him on, but when it comes down to it, all Taylor had to do is answer the ref, he did not, and he paid the price.

Rocky Marciano vs Jersey Joe Walcott

Rock was behind 4-7, 5-7, 4-8 on the judges scorecards and in desperate need of a KO against Jersey Joe. Round 13 of 15 he comes out and blows Joe's head off his shoulders with a terrific right hook to the Jaw leaving him down and out

                      Rocky Marciano vs Ezzard Charles

I know Rock wasn't behind on the scorecards, he dominated the fight. Rock had a very severe cut on his nose and the fight was close to being stopped when KO goodnight, The Rock wins again.

Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo

Another one which wasn't in desperate need of a KO, but with the 2 knockdowns he would have been a bit off on the scorecards if he hadn't have pulled off one hell of a comeback. Down twice in the 8th and he goes on to win by TKO, just fantastic.
