  • What is your "hardest to watch" fight?

Oldgringo reminded me about this by talking about the Whitaker vs. Trinidad fight in another thread so I thought I'd make a thread about it.

I remember Nige made one like this back in the day.

So what fight is hardest for you to watch, particularly one where your one of your favorite fighters takes a beating or something like that?

The hardest fight for me to watch is Tyson vs. Lewis.

Lewis was just tattooing Tyson from the distance with right hands and jabs...he really eff'd my boy up.

The second fight I will never watch again is Leonard vs. Camacho...horrible night for Leonard.

    Eubank-Watson II and Eubank-Collins I.

I was at Eubank-Watson II when Watson's head bounced viciously off the tightly pulled lower strand rope.. I saw it clearly because I was not far behind and it put me off boxing for a while (Watson became permanently disabled because Eubank went in for the kill after that). And Eubank-Collins I because he had Collins in the same position as he had Watson, but the thoughts of disabling Watson held Eubank back from going in for the kill again (and Chris suffered his first professional defeat because of this).

I just don't like watching those fights, I've only seen them again once or twice since they happened.. I have them on tape but don't watch them.

John Ruiz vs Roy Jones Jr. I swear that Ruiz was not even trying to win. He did f***k all in there the entire fight barring one flurry in round 1. He just sat there and let jones throw at him doing nothing in return at all offensively.

Castillo-Corrales last 5 seconds of the fight were horrible for me.

Chavez-Tszyu even though I thought Tszyu could have ko ed him in the first round if he wanted to. He gave Chavez a chance.

Tyson - Douglas, it didn't even look like Tyson out there. It looked like someone stole his belts and his body and went out there. No head movement, no power, and he threw no combinations.

I was 15 or 16 at the time of Hagler VS. Sugar Ray. I was a huge Hagler fan when I was young. Hagler was my idol for like 8 years, I couldn't sleep that night. Also Tyson VS. Douglas. That was very tough to see.
